Toronto BuskerFest

What Was It?

Joining entertainment, business and charity, BuskerFest was established in 1999 by Epilepsy Toronto as a way to help raise funds for, and create public awareness of epilepsy. BuskerFest is Epilepsy Toronto’s largest fundraiser of the year. Ryerson University was a sponsor of BuskerFest.

BuskerFest took place August 27-30th, 2015 from Yonge St. from Queen to College, Yonge-Dundas Square, Trinity Square Park and Gould St. on Ryerson University campus.

I was responsible for coordinating Buskerfest programming on Campus and negotiating sponsorship elements. I liaised with the Buskerfest Festival Director to ensure Ryerson policies and procedures were adhered to as well as Toronto City regulations concerning emergency street protocols.

The images depicted the construction and progress of the SLC and was displayed in six high traffic locations on Ryerson University Campus. The exhibit ran from October – December, 2014. Some of these images are now found in various offices across campus.
