TO2015: Documentary Video Shorts

What Was It?

Toronto hosted the 2015 Pan Am / Parapan Am Games during the months of July and August. Ryerson University was a host venue for Basketball and Wheelchair Basketball.

Summer 2015 I was responsible for event coordination and communication of all TO2015 Events at Ryerson University. This included developing, implementing and managing outreach initiatives.

My goal was to connect and collaborate with various departments across campus to assist with delivering TO2015 programming to enhance Ryerson’s reputation in the community.

Fostering interdepartmental relationships is important for me because not only does it bridge talents from specialized areas of study, which Ryerson is known for, but it also forges relationships, creating hubs of activity where everyone is working towards the same goal of maintaining and enhancing the Ryerson image.

Four Ryerson students competed in TO2015. I wanted to highlight these accomplishments. For this project I initiated the execution of two documentary shorts portraying ‘the day in the live of’ Ryerson Student Athletes competing in the TO2015 Games. I reached out to RU Student Life and collaborated with them to make this project possible. Videos were rolled out with a marketing campaign during TO2015.
